Hey Daniel~ The username is an interesting spelling. I’ve never walked along a river before but I think it’d be fun. A calm OP blog? I would say you’re very spot on. But I’m a little more animated when I talk about the series in real life. You should see me when I’m having moments for Law. And that colorspread Oda did last week. Lovely. I fall in love pretty easily as well. But only if it’s for the right person.

If we’re just talking about him as a physically appealing character then I would have saved him in a heartbeat. But for story-telling sake, saved Ace? I don’t know. I’m probably going to get a lot of bashing for this, but I wouldn’t have saved Ace. I don’t promote killing off characters for the sake of making another grow as a character because there are better ways to do that. I think that Ace died because he needed to. He finally understood why he’s here and he died with his family. The family where he finally found a home with. His death helped Luffy to realize that he’s not alone in this world. I feel bad saying it but his death brought people closer together.

I had almost forgotten that you were his brother."

I’M CRYING
I CAN’T BELIEVE I MISSED THIS ONE

“Do you see that star Luffy?”
“The one shaped like meat?”
“No. But now that you mention it there is one shaped like meat.”

Well, there’s just one thing that I’d like to point out. You still need to be able to properly use it for it to be a threat. Remember that you’ll be competing with the skill of the former user which really sets the bar high. Ace didn’t have that fruit for a very long time when compared to other devil fruit users.

Who is the new user going to be? Or will they just throw the fruit into the ocean?

Did you ever cry while watching One Piece? I did it already a couple of times and I don't think I'm the only one ><

I can’t even keep track of the number of times that I’ve cried when reading One Piece. There are so many rip your heart out scenes that are kind of affecting me right now as I answer your question. Sabo explosion, Ace death, Bellemere!, Sanji’s backstory, and just Enies Lobby as a whole. And I’m already crying for the eventual Trafalgar Law backstory that will be epic and definitely tear-jerking.

Ace’s face is always a mandatory post.
For the follower that asked that this be a post to be reblogged.
One of my favorite things to discuss without a doubt. I think that the “Will of D” has something to do with breaking the conformity of society. They’re going to be the people that reveal the corruptness of the World Government along with the World Nobles. They challenge the expectations of society with basically every since one of their actions. Let’s analyze it from a point of each individual character that holds the initial.
Monkey D. Luffy is going to be the most feared pirate for the WG because he’s going to form such a great network of people that support him. He has that charisma that draws such powerful allies towards him. And obviously he’s going to be the future pirate king. Luffy declared war on the WG without a single moment of hesitation for Robin. He saved Fishman Island with the help of his crew and others, breaks into Impel Down in an attempt to save his brother, allies with Trafalgar Law in order to take down Kaidou, and the whole epic Doflamingo thing that’s happening. Luffy is a guy that just wants everyone to be free and enjoy their life to the fullest.
Ace’s challenge to society was existing. Everyone that was associated with Roger was eliminated but Ace survived with the help of his mother and Garp. He might have doubted his reason for existing but he did find a place where he belonged and felt safe. It didn’t matter who his dad was when he was on Whitebeard’s ship. He was Portgas D. Ace and that’s all that mattered.
Rouge might be one of the most inspirational women in the entire series. She defied the natural period of pregnancy and extended it to 20 months in order to keep Ace from being killed. She died because of it but I don’t think that she regrets a single second. She was able to give birth to the child of her lover/husband. She wasn’t going to let the WG have their way.
Jaguar D. Saul fought against the WG in order to help Robin escape. He saw the corrupt ways of the WG and he was going to die attempting to go against it. He knew that knowledge can’t be contained and sealed. Some things have to be revealed.
Dragon is the most dangerous man in the world right now. He is a revolutionary and I think that says a lot. He’s in the front lines freeing oppressed countries.
Roger is fantastic. I think that freely giving yourself to the government is something that should be praised. He did it in order to raise up the new generation and he knew that he was going to die anyway. Might as well go out with a bang.
As much as I despise/dislike/want to kill/should be drowned Blackbeard, he’s a guy that will do anything in order to get what he wants. He breaks rules like the others but they’re mostly morally wrong and against the pirate code. I’m not an advocator of killing a crew member in order to take the fruit they’ve picked up.
